27 नक्षत्र
The 27 nakshatras divide the zodiac into lunar mansions of 13°20′ each; the Moon's nakshatra at birth seeds the dasha sequence and the traditional name syllables.
Padas
Each nakshatra splits into four padas of 3°20′ that map into the navamsa. Two people with one Moon sign can differ deeply by pada.
Lords
The nine dasha lords cycle through the 27 nakshatras, which is why the Moon's position sets the Vimshottari balance at birth.
